What you need to know
A window replacement is usually driven by one of three things: cold, noise, or the frames finally giving up. The right answer depends on which one is bothering you, and that changes the glass specification more than it changes the frame.
We make windows in uPVC and aluminium, both with high-performance sealed units glazed in-house. Because the units are processed here rather than bought in, we can specify exactly the right build for the room — a low-emissivity coating for a cold north-facing bedroom, acoustic laminate for a house on a main road, or solar control for a south-facing extension that cooks in summer.
Every window is surveyed on site before manufacture. We check the reveals, the lintel, the sill condition and whether the opening is square, because a 6mm discrepancy that nobody measured is what turns a clean fit into a week of packing and filler.

Options
Styles and specifications
Aluminium windows
Slim sightlines and much more glass for the same opening. Powder-coated in any RAL colour, and structurally stronger for large spans.
Casement
The standard British window. Side or top hung, opening outwards, with the widest choice of sizes and configurations.
Flush casement
The sash sits flush with the frame rather than proud of it, giving the clean line of a traditional timber window. Popular in conservation areas.
Bay windows
Rebuilt to the existing geometry with structural support where the bay carries load above. We survey the angles rather than assume them.
Tilt & turn
Tilts inward for secure ventilation, swings fully open for cleaning. The sensible choice above ground floor level.
Sash windows
Vertical sliding units with modern balances and heritage bar detailing. The look of the original with none of the rattle.
Energy-efficient glazing
A-rated and A+ rated units as standard, with warm-edge spacer bars and argon fill to cut the cold edge around the perimeter.
Triple glazing
Three panes and two cavities. Worth it for noise and for genuinely cold elevations; often not worth the extra weight elsewhere.

FAQ
Windows questions
Most three-bedroom houses are done in two to three days. We generally remove and replace room by room so the property is never fully open.
Not usually for like-for-like replacement. Listed buildings and some conservation areas do need consent, and we will flag it at survey if we think it applies.
Both are efficient. The rating combines heat loss, solar gain and air leakage; A+ units gain slightly more than they lose over a heating season.
We finish neatly to the existing reveal and seal the perimeter. Full replastering is available as an extra if the old frames have taken the plaster with them.
In most cases yes, including bar layouts, colour and handle style. Bring us a photo and a measurement and we will tell you honestly if the match will be close or approximate.
